A good substitute for cork-bark or tree-fern when mounting epiphytic orchid plants.
The fibrous outer husk of the coconut is removed in large pieces, making them ideal as rafts for mounting orchid plants.
It is water absorbent yet resistant to rot and each piece has two different surfaces. A smooth surface for plants with thick roots that like to spread and a more open fibrous side for plants with finer roots that like to penetrate the surface.
Needs soaking in several changes of water before use.
Supplied in bags of not less than ten pieces
